Arvo Pärt will be the featured composer of the RTÉ Living Music Festival in February 2008. The Scottish composer and conductor James MacMillan will be the festival's artistic director. Details of the festival programme to be published by RTÉ later this year

EPCC under Paul Hillier release “A New Joy” - Orthodox Christmas music featuring 19th and 20th-century liturgical hymnography and carols of the Nativity Feast. Much of this music was suppressed during the last century and has only come to light in recent years

EPCC’s first performance of Kanon Pokajanen in Tallinn since it was recorded there in Niguliste Church in 1997 was over subscribed to such an extent that the choir decides to schedule extra performances for January 2007

The Faculty of Theology at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg (Germany) has just decided to bestow an Honorary Doctorate on Arvo Pärt for his great contribution to sacred music.
